The Collect for Kids program is an exceptional way to support students and student learning. This effort aims to improve academic performance, focus donations where the needs are high, and to allow us to maximize our effort.

In short, this coordinated effort allows us to do more for less.  For example, in this effort we can turn $1 dollar into nearly $4 worth of quality school supplies and therefore fill a backpack with quality and FCPS approved supplies for just $10.

Academic Performance

• A student cannot succeed without the necessary tools
• High Need – 25.46% of FCPS students (44,018 children) are eligible for free and reduced priced meals
• A coordinated and leveraged plan expands reach
• Coordination reduces redundancy of effort
• Being equipped equal to one’s peers improves self esteem
